Buckingham Palace is the London residence of the monarch of the United Kingdom. Queen Elizabeth II became the UK’s longest-serving monarch in September 2015. The previous record was set by her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria. Her reign lasted almost 64 years.
The palace is often used for ceremonial and official occasions and among the most popular attractions in London. Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace is an historical tradition and it takes place daily between April and July, and on alternate dates for the remainder of the year.
The official start time is 11.30am.
